Intel Corporation just launched a new marketing campaign focusing not on their Intel components, but actually on their brand. This is the largest branding campaign out today. This websites is an action script (discussed in my Cinco de Mayo blog) and flash based site that brings the effects of video to life. It is a soft feel website, which enlightens the content on the page. The arrows on the right and left allow the user to switch scenes by not selecting from a navigation. This is becoming a big element many clients are wanting to add to their site. It provides a unique navigation experience for the user and allows them to not only browse quickly, but allows them to go back quickly if needed.

This type of site would work well with a wide variety of companies and products. What makes this site bad is the platform of flash it was developed in. Many website admins find them self in a position to improve ranking for their site. Designing a website in flash doesn’t allow for you to use SEO keywords or integrate any type of tracking. Within the next few months or years, Google will develop tools that will make a flash sites track-able and SEO friendly, but until this time, many website developers are sticking with the traditional website development techniques, unless they are willing to take a risk. A risk like this can either make or break your website. This site will definitely be pushing the edge between busting or banking. Only time will tell to see how this site flows.

In light of today’s celebrated holiday, I decided to keep my analysis in theme. After a few experiences with this website, it never ceases to amaze me how creative and mind blowing this website is. If there was one site that I knew I wanted to visit, it would have to the be this one. The way it allows you to rotate around the whole beach and interactive is impeccable. Every interactive mark gives the user an experience they will not find anywhere else. Though being designed in all Flash and Action script (which causes the sight to load and move slow), it gives the user the ability to do whatever they want to the site environment. (Action Script is a terminology that is interactive flash which allows you to click and move as if it was just a standard website) The Corona Beach experience brings a full circle to their TV media. After viewing a Corona commercial, it makes you want to find a secluded beach and relax enjoying a tasty corona. Well visiting this site does the exact same. Once trick on this site you should experience is the changing from day to night. Venture up to the sky and experience how the whole scene changes with just a simple click. It is very impactful and very user friendly.

Many avid travelers may have browsed across this site through a search engine or a Las Vegas site, but I find this site to be very low key. After speaking with my clients, I find that they reference this site constantly. Reasoning being is that is a prime example of Web 2.0 design. It gives off the feel of warmth and prestige as well as makes you really want to visit. The developer of this site used just enough flash and just enough text to give the user a outstanding experience. The displays and flash imagery projects the vision of the Venetian. As for someone who has yet to visit this hotel, I find it very soothing to know that I decided to visit, I would enjoy it. Take some time to browse and enjoy the experience of the Venetian website. I did!
